Sainsbury’s Local Food Partner Programme (UK)

Sainsbury's is expanding its Local Food Partner Programme and is accepting applications from local charities to join the network. Local food partner charities can collect dry and tinned food donated by customers and/or fresh food donated by Sainsbury's to distribute in the community.

Applicants must be a registered charity, have appropriate Food Hygiene certification and be able to collect donated food regularly from you partner store. A Food Partner must:

LankellyChase Foundation Theory of Change Grants (UK)

The LankellyChase Foundation is seeking applications to its grant making programme.

Based on its Theory of Change (which advocates a radical new approach), the Foundations wants to fund new and innovative work to address the needs of individuals facing multiple and severe disadvantage. Support for Breakfast Clubs (UK)

Kellogg's, Forever Manchester and Northumbria University have joined together to provide free online training to help you run a successful breakfast club.

The training includes information on the benefits of breakfast clubs, healthy eating and child nutrition, effective planning and handy hints on funding and marketing. Breakfast Clubs can apply for this training up until 31st May 2016.

Lord Taverners Minibuses Grant Programme (UK)

The Lords Taverners, the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, has announced that its Minibuses grants programme will re-open for applications on the 1st December 2015.

Applications will be accepted from schools/ organisations that cater for young people under the age of 25 who have a physical/ sensory/ learning disability. Please note that the Lords Taverners are unable to support schools that cater for socially disadvantaged children, or mainstream schools for children with behavioural problems.

Building Our Movement - I hope you have all survived the year-end relatively unscathed, that new funding streams have come through with the start of a new financial year and that existing relationships and resources have been maintained. There is no doubt that the VCSE sector faces an uphill challenge, especially when it comes to the support receive from local statutory partners. In most cases diminishing resources are a fact of life for them and it’s through no ill will (in fact the very opposite) that they must pass on these ‘cuts’ to VCSEs.

Hours: 20 hours a week

Asist & Reach Providing Self Advocacy Support & Information

The new Self Advocacy Service in Staffordshire started on the 1st April 2016. They are working with self advocacy groups in Staffordshire and will soon be meeting new people in schools, colleges and other places around Staffordshire.

Reach support young people (from age 14) and adults in Staffordshire to speak up together.
