Gain an enhanced understanding of the process and the main drivers and how to effectively and efficiently challenge DWP decisions at all levels; applications/form filling, understanding the descriptors, Mandatory Reconsideration, successful Appeals, Tribunals and Upper Tribunals. This full day of training will successfully equip staff enabling them to support customers with all parts of the claimant journey.

REMINDER: The consultations for the ‘Education and Skills Strategy’ and ‘Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Strategy’ are still live - Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your say!

Public consultations for the “Education and Skills Strategy: A Partnership Framework for Staffordshire” and Staffordshire’s “Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Strategy” started in November the consultations will stay open until the 21st December 2018.

Staffordshire to celebrate International Volunteer Day

People from across the county are being invited to find out more about the hundreds of volunteering opportunities helping to make a difference in local communities.

Staffordshire has thousands of volunteers from all backgrounds and walks of life, giving up their time and energy helping to make Staffordshire a great place to live.

International Volunteer Day today (5 December) is the chance to recognise the contributions volunteers make and highlight the great work they do.  This year’s celebrations are focusing on how volunteers can help build resilient communities

Reminder: Deadline Approaching For £18,000 Website Grant Applications

This is a reminder that the deadline is approaching for applications to the Transform Foundation’s Charity Website Grant Programme, with the application window set to close on 14th December.

The programme, which is run by the Transform Foundation, offers £18,000 grants to charities to fund the redevelopment of their website, to ramp up their online income and increase their charitable impact.  It has so far helped charities raise more than £10m in donations.

Applications for the Weston Charity Awards open

Pilotlight and the Garfield Weston Foundation would like to announce that the Weston Charity Awards are now open for applications.

Established to celebrate and support ambitious charities working in the fields of Youth, Welfare and Community, we are looking for charities who would like mentoring and coaching support to get their organisation to the next stage in its development. This year the Awards are will support 20 charities across the North, the Midlands and Wales.
