Weekly Wellness Meetings in Burton and Tamworth

Changes Tamworth are running weekly wellness meeting for adults in distress in Tamworth and Burton.  

Changes can help by offering Guidance, Encouragement and Support.

Anyone is welcome to attend a changes meeting, no referral is necessary just come along.  All that is asked is that you share in our goal of improved mental well-being.

Changes offer Peer Support sessions in Burton on Wednesdays and Fridays and in Tamworth they hold a variety of sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Calor Rural Community Fund

Calor offer rural off grid communities the chance to gain funding for projects that will improve local life.

Projects supported could be anything from redecorating your community centre or village hall; to new equipment for youth clubs, sports teams or scout groups. Calor are open to ideas

They offer grants of up to £5,000 for projects that provide an on-going service for local communities.

Rural communities with projects off the mains gas grid can submit their projects for funding.

Medicine Supply and Brexit

We have been asked to share this information from the Staffordshire CCG's around their national plans around medicine supply regarding brexit.

As you can see from the document below a number of actions have been taken to help is mitigate any issues after 29th March 2019.

The key message to VCS professionals is to reassure patients that we have plans in place to avoid any disruption to medicine supplies for our patients. It is also important that patients order as they normally do and do not stock pile.
