Healthwatch Staffordshire have achieved the Investing in Volunteers accreditation: the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management.
This day course provides organisations and individuals first aid to an appointed person level. It is important that your organisation has completed a risk assessment to decide whether a 3 day ‘First Aid at Work’ workshop is required at a qualified first aider level or a one day appointed person HSE approved workshop.
This is a Health and Safety Approved Centre workshop where the assessment is in the form of continuous assessment and oral questioning.
Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, OPCC, and Staffordshire Police have released a briefing paper on the Child Sexual Exploitation Communications Campaign, Communications Safer Internet Day / Say no to sexting campaign.

Course outline (Self Harm)
This workshop is aimed at practitioners working with young people. It is intended that by the end of the workshop practitioners will have an understanding of why young people self-harm and how to approach the subject in a meaningful and useful manner. Practitioners will be encouraged to think about how they might assess the seriousness of the harm and offer alternatives for dealing with the issues young people face.
