Masonic Charitable Foundation – Community Support Grants

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is a new charity which has taken over the work of the four central Masonic Charities, providing a wide range of grants to Freemasons and their families who have a financial, health and care or family need.

The Foundation looks beyond Freemasonry, making significant financial grants to charities which help people to live happy, fulfilling lives and to participate actively in society.

Healthwatch Staffordshire wants to help local hospitals manage their winter pressures.

HealthWatch Staffordshire needs to hear from you.

Healthwatch will be spending the next 2 months in hospitals across Staffordshire to speak to the public about their experience of using A&E services over the winter period.

We they to know:

1. What was your experience of using the service?

2. If you could change the system to make it run better in the current financial climate, what would you do?

They are interested to hear from both service users and staff within the NHS.

Access to GP Surgeries Consultation

The six NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are looking at how to give you easier and more convenient access to services you have at your local family doctor and GP surgery available outside of the usual surgery hours, including over the weekends.

They are interested in hearing your views about how, when and where you might choose to use these services outside of the usual surgery hours. 

THE RIGHT START: Committee and Trustee Roles and Responsibilities

Who should attend:

This session is aimed at new or exisiting committee members or Trustees who would like to know more about their role and responsibilities.

Description:

Committees and Trustees have specific duties and share ultimate responsibility for how an organisation is managed and run. This introductory session will help both new and existing committee members and Trustees focus on what you need to know to manage your organisation well. The session will cover:-

Who should attend:

This session is aimed at those new to the world of funding or those who need a fresher.

Description:

As the voluntary sector continues to face the hardship of funding cuts it’s becoming increasingly necessary for community groups and organisations to generate and manage income from a number of sources. This session will help you identify ways to maximise your opportunities to generate additional income for your organisation and will include:

  • Basic overview of funding bids and terminology used

To access this session for free you must be a member of Support Staffordshire or Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services (SCVYS). We reserve the right to charge you for your ticket if you are not a member.
