We’re pleased to announce that the M&S Energy Community Energy Fund is returning with £350,000 to distribute to community groups across the UK this summer.
This Maths & English (Accredited) course runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 4 weeks, starting the week commencing 6 June 2016.
Do you need a maths or English qualification to improve your CV, get into college/further education or improve your chances of getting a job? At the end of the course you will gain a nationally recognised Functional Skills qualification. You will have the option to take one subject area or both.
An initial skills asessment will be arranged before the start of the course.

This Employability Skills course runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 4 weeks, starting the week commencing 6 June 2016.
This essential course will support you with CV building, job searchs, job applications and interview techniques. It includes presentations from employers and charities with a view to engaging in voluntary work and paid employment. A representative from Job Centre Plus will advise on Better off Benefits calculations.
Smaller short term grants are available to strengthen charities and CIOs in England and Wales which work with people experiencing multiple disadvantage at one of the critical points in their life.
Applicants must have identified specific organisational development, have a clear plan of activities and an idea of what they hope to achieve. They must also meet one or more of the outcomes.

KEEN are committed to inspiring responsible outdoor participation to help preserve the places we all play. The KEEN Effect grant $10,000 grants to non-profit organizations around the world who are dedicated to responsible outdoor participation.
Projects must increase responsible outdoor participation as a way to work towards building a strong community.
Projects should be innovative and creative, and should have clear goals and measurable objectives.
The Invest Programme is open to Round 3 applications from charities and CIOS in England and Wales.
Grants are available for between £10,000 and £25,000 per year for two or three years, with the opportunity for continuation funding for a further period of up to six years in total.
Round 3 deadline is 27 May 2016 (5pm).
The Postcode Community Trust's Community Grants scheme has opened to applications from registered charities and community groups for projects that advance community development.
It provides short-term funding to good causes in Great Britain that promote community development and demonstrate positive change through access and engagement. The Trust seeks to help groups participate more fully in activities within their community, especially for those who may feel isolated through disability or age.
Funding is available for activities that:
FareShare FoodCloud is a new scheme which helps charities and community groups access the unsold, surplus food at the end of each day from their local Tesco supermarket – for free! Using a simple mobile technology the project has already helped 750 charities across the UK access 300 000 meals worth of free food.
They are currently working with a number of stores in Staffordshire, so are looking to connect with local charities and not-for-profit organisations that provide food for vulnerable or disadvantaged people in the region.
