The Mental Capacity Act (2005), Communication Skills & Advance Care Planning in Practice  Training

Katharine House Hospice are hosting training for care home staff in Advance Care Planning and Mental Capacity Act run by National Council for Palliative Care. This training is designed to support staff to provide high quality, compassionate end of life care for people with dementia.

Please note a compulsory requirement of attending is the completion of two online questionnaires 1 & 3 months after the workshop.

Lunch and refreshments are provided.

Places are funded and limited to 20 per workshop given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Funding Event (Venue: Lichfield)

This event will be an opportunity to discuss your funding needs with organisations including The Big Lottery. 

There is no need to book - just drop in anytime between 10-1pm.

This free event is open to any organisation or group looking for funding, working in either the voluntary or community sector, and to social or community enterprises.

Maths & English (Accredited) Training (Stafford)

This Maths & English (Accredited) course runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 4 weeks, starting the week commencing 6 June 2016.

Do you need a maths or English qualification to improve your CV, get into college/further education or improve your chances of getting a job? At the end of the course you will gain a nationally recognised Functional Skills qualification. You will have the option to take one subject area or both.

An initial skills asessment will be arranged before the start of the course. 

Employability Skills Training (Stafford)

This Employability Skills course runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 4 weeks, starting the week commencing 6 June 2016.

This essential course will support you with CV building, job searchs, job applications and interview techniques. It includes presentations from employers and charities with a view to engaging in voluntary work and paid employment. A representative from Job Centre Plus will advise on Better off Benefits calculations.

DEAFvibe's 6th Annual Deaf Day Event "See Me, Hear Me" is on Friday 13th May 2016 at the Britannia Stadium (Stoke City Football Club) between 10am - 4pm.

Free Entrance to Exhibitions and  Presentations in 2 Rooms!

Information, Advice & Support, Equipment Demonstrations is available from 45 organisations locally and nationally n the Tony Waddington Suite (Floor 2).

Presentations by 4 speakers on different topics will be in the Stanley Matthews Lounge (Floor 2).
