An introductory session for new trustees or those who wish to refresh their skills.  This workshop will cover the basics to enable you to govern more effectively and understand the responsibilities you have.  Topics include:

  • Role descriptions
  • Organisation structures
  • Governing documents
  • Leading effective meetings

Involving volunteers takes time and planning but doing this effectively will ensure that you meet the needs of your organisation as well as providing the volunteer with a good experience.  This workshop is designed to help you improve your programme, attracting volunteers as well as retaining them.  It will cover:

  • Support and supervision
  • Retention of volunteers

Team is a 12-week personal development course, offering work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week.

How does it help?
