The Together We're Better Listening Events

"The Together We're Better, Staffordshire Health and Care Partnership has been out and about across the county listening to local people's feedback about their experiences of health and care services and how they could be improved.

Two webinars have been organised to offer an opportunity to people who could not attend our listening events to share their views. The webinars will include an expert panel, live discussions and an opportunity to ask questions.

Why is having good governance so important?

Voluntary organisations exist to have a positive impact on the communities they serve. Having a confident, diverse & skilled board that provides good governance is crucial for any organisation to fulfil its purpose.

Having good governance provides direction and supervision, whilst ensuring effectiveness and accountability for an organisation.

Direction. If you know where you’re going it’s much easier to get there.  The board should have the capacity to set the strategy and overall direction; providing leadership for everyone in the organisation.

Safeguarding Children

Who should attend:

This course is aimed at individuals or volunteers who work with children.

Overview:

This session will provide participants with an understanding of what to look for to safeguard children from harm, how to recognise abuse, respond effectively and refer appropriately and how social care responds including assessments together with child protection plans.

Topics Covered:

  • Be aware of different types of abuse

Trainee Debt Caseworker

Salary:  £18,000 (pro rata)

Hours:  18.5 hours per week

Contract:   Fixed to March 31st 2020 with possibility of extension                   

Location:   Based at the Stafford Office and working across Stafford Borough, Cannock Chase and South Staffordshire and other locations as required.

Universal Credit Support Worker

Hours:        37 hours per week (job share would be considered)
