Volunteering for All Officer (Newcastle)

This post is available for 18 hours per week at a salary of £23,000 per annum (pro-rata) from December 2019 to November 2020 and based at The Guildhall on High Street in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

It will appeal to you if you have great listening and communication skills, have experience of helping others and a passion for supporting people through information, advice and guidance. You would need to have good knowledge and understanding of volunteering, how volunteering helps people enhance their employability, and what comprises high quality volunteer management. 

Another successful Staffordshire village hall network meeting

Village hall representatives from around Staffordshire came to Colton Village Hall last Thursday (3rd October) to network with each other - sharing experiences and ideas over coffee and cake - and also to find out more about village hall insurance issues. Gavin Mitchell of Allied Westminster gave a very informative presentation including the pitfalls on under-insuring with a couple of case studies.

Launch of interim autism service for children and young people in south Staffordshire

An interim autism service supporting children, young people and their families in south Staffordshire has been launched by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The Trust was recently confirmed by the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) serving south Staffordshire as the provisional provider of autism services in the area.

As interim host provider, MPFT’s Children and Young People’s Autism Service will support families until the formal procurement process is completed by the CCGs and a new contract awarded for autism services in the south of the county.
