Main base Stafford.

If you are a highly organised individual with experience of providing advice and support on funding, performance management and effective record keeping to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, ideally specific to European funding, then this could be the job for you.

Chief Executive's Health Comment - June 2016

It’s been a while since I offered a health-related comment piece and in truth I still don’t have a lot of new news. There have been some changes at the health and care transformation team, but still no public, patient or VCSE opportunities to engage; and the Health and Wellbeing Board remains just out of touch. That said, with our new county council role about to kick off, I am hopeful of making some headway in both these key areas of engagement very soon.

The Library Service's Summer Reading Challenge & Reading Well Shelf Help

School Readiness:

Staffordshire Libraries is committed to ensuring that all young readers have the opportunity to become fluent and confident readers who enjoy and appreciate fiction. The Library Service supports this aim by participating in the annual national Summer Reading Challenge. This initiative encourages children aged 4-11 to read six books during the long summer holiday. There are incentives along the way and a certificate and medal for every child who completes the Challenge.

Chief Executive's Comment June 2016 - Our Successful Bid to be the Voluntary Sector Strategic Capacity Building Partner for the County Council

As all members and many others will know, Support Staffordshire has been successful in our bid to be the Voluntary Sector Strategic Capacity Building Partner for the County Council.  We have formed a new delivery partnership which includes Staffordshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (SCVYS) and South Staffordshire Community and Voluntary Action (SSCVA), providing full geographical and thematic coverage of the County.

As many of our members will already be aware, Support Staffordshire has been consulting you on how we deliver services in the future. Following a series of focus groups and our online survey – prize draw winners announced below – we can now let you know the outcome.

Firstly, thank you for taking part and we are pleased to hear that overall our members understand the need for our services to change and modernise.
