Writing Good Funding Applications

This session is for people representing community group or voluntary organisation committees in Lichfield and District who want to make an impact with their funding applications. Suitable for people with little or no experience or those with some experience who need a refresher.

An overall comprehensive guide to constructing good funding applications, including:

  • Learning funding jargon
  • What funders are looking for and why
  • How to write project descriptions
  • Proving community need
  • Working out project costs
  • What things you need in place as an organisation to be successful
  • General hints & tips

 

This session is interactive with opportunities to ask questions about your own circumstances.

Esther has worked in the Voluntary Sector for a number of years as a Project Officer, Volunteering Officer, Training Officer and Development Officer.  She has successfully assisted groups and organisations with funding applications and has advised on organisational development, policies and procedures.  She has recently become an Investing in Volunteers advisor, a national award that is designed to assess and recognise excellent volunteer management practices.
