THE RIGHT START: Writing Good Policies and Procedures
Who should attend:
This session is aimed at anyone new to writing policies and procedures or wants the latest information on some of the key policy areas.
Policies and procedures are an essential part of any organisation and are often needed to meet legal, contractual or funding requirements. If you are developing or reviewing policies and procedures within your organisation and want to understand the latest information and best practice then this session is for you. You may find it useful to bring along copies of any policies and procedures you may already have.
The session will cover:-
- Why do we have policies and procedures?
- Best practice in writing policies and procedures
- Overview of different types of policies
Tutor: Esther Bromley of Support Staffordshire
Esther has worked in the voluntary sector for a number of years as a Project Officer, Volunteering Officer, Training Officer and Development Officer, a Team Leader and is now Support Staffordshires' Development Consultancy Manager. She has successfully assisted groups and organisations with funding applications and has advised on organisational development, policies and procedures. She has been an 'Investing in Volunteers' advisor for 3 years, a national award that is designed to assess and recognise excellent volunteer management practices.
This training is funded by Staffordshire County Council. To access this session for FREE you must be a member of Support Staffordshire or Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services. We reserve the right to charge you for your ticket if you are not a member.
