Empowering individuals on the Autistic Spectrum - Volunteer Roles

Lifeworks Staffordshire is a registered charity for people aged 14+ who are livingg with a high functioning Autistic Spectrum Condition, Asperger Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity , Dispraxia, Tourettes Syndrome, Social Anxiety and other associated specific learning difficulties. Our clients are often very intelligent and keen to please but can often struggle to interpret social situations and become very isolated.

We are currently looking to recruit volunteers to help our organisation in many areas. We are especially looking for experienced volunteers (possibly ex NHS Staff) as many of our clients interact well with such people.

Our Volunteer Roles include

Outreach work.

Befrienders

Support Groups

Fundraising Volunteers

We also have other opportunities including Officer Volunteer roles, helping run Lifeworks Computer Club, helping with our website and social media pages, gardening,painting and decorating.

A basic knowledge of Autism Spectrum Conditions may be an advantage but not essential. Training and support will be given and travel and reasonable out of pocket expenses paid. To register an interest in volunteering Tel: 01782 615222 and ask for Dominic (Volunteer and Helpline Supervisor). E-mail dom.lifeworks@gmail.com or follow us on;
