This course is aimed at all staff, volunteers and trustees in any setting.
This topic is relevant to everyone as all organisations need to ensure equality of opportunity as well as embrace a diverse and ever changing world. This course looks at what the law says and examines how it is applied practically. It also examines discrimination and ensures services are accessible to all.
At the end of this course participants will:
Understand the concept of diversity and the importance of ensuring equality at the workplace and when providing services
Tackle the barriers to accessing services and understand how stereotyping and assumptions can impact service delivery
Demonstrate an awareness of the ways in which discrimination and disadvantage can be effectively challenged in the workplace
Be confident in providing service and care in a diverse cultural environment
