Combating Loneliness in Tamworth - Stakeholder Event

The aim of this event is to work towards the integration of voluntary organisation with the statutory services across Tamworth in order to provide a greater focus on preventative services to enhance the health and wellbeing of the local population.

Loneliness and social isolation affects 60% of people aged 85 and over and although difficult to put a specific cost it is widely recognised that social isolation and loneliness has a detrimental effect on a person's health and well-being. The current service provided does not always meet the needs of the people in our community. We are a working group from statutory and voluntary organisations trying to address this problems with Tamworth and need your advice and judgement to progress this project from your specialist field.

The event will include a working lunch, a chance to network and an opportunity to advertise your service and essentially be part of making a difference to lonely people's lives within Tamworth area.

Event registration is by invitation only. Register with your email address to attend this event.
