Creative People and Places funding event for Cannock and Tamworth

An information event is being held in Cannock Chase on 24th October to invite community organisations to find out about a new funding opportunity for the local community called Creative People and Places.

Who is the funding for?

There’s considerable funding available and they are looking for community organisations or groups that can partner with cultural organisations to apply. They want to ensure that local people have a real say in the decisions about the activities on offer.

Festive Grants For Tamworth

Councillors are hoping to spread some festive cheer again this year by handing out cash to support events, schemes or special projects that bring Tamworth residents together during the Christmas period.

As part of the Festive Grants scheme, £300 will be allocated to voluntary or community groups in each of the borough’s 10 electoral wards towards projects which boost community spirit and tackle loneliness.

Community grants of up to £2500 to highlight patient and public involvement in the voluntary sector – apply now!

NHS England’s ‘celebrating involvement in healthcare’ community grants scheme is open for applications for the fourth year.

Grants of up to £2500 are available to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to showcase how they have been involving patients, service-users and the public in improving health services.

Please share this opportunity with your networks. Full details of the eligibility and how to apply can be found on the NHS England’s Involvement Hub.

Pot of money available for local infrastructure

Do you have an infrastructure project that will benefit people from across the district?

Lichfield District Council is inviting organisations to bid for £300,000 of Community Infrastructure Levy funding, in the first funding round.

This is the levy, known as CIL, that developers pay the council to support infrastructure projects across the district.

This could include improvements to roads, local parks, schools and sports and leisure facilities, as well as flood mitigation, health facilities, social and community venues, and low carbon initiatives.
