Testimonials and Feedback
"My name is Malcolm Armstrong and I write to you as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Together Active. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank you for your outstanding help with the production of our first audit as a charity. We had a great report from our auditors and much of this was due to the assistance and support you supplied to Jane Kracke our Chief Operating Officer.
Thank you so much for the time, effort and expertise you brought to the table during this process."

“Thanks ever so much for the follow up information, I found the webinar really useful & I thought Esther was fab!”
“The training provided a very comprehensive overview of all aspects of working with/managing volunteers. A huge amount was covered. The trainer, Esther, was very generous with all the reference material she provided. I have downloaded it all for future reference. I am very long in the tooth as a volunteer myself, and recruiter of volunteers. It was reassuring that I already had some familiarity with most of the issues covered. I had assumed it would be more narrowly focussed on Covid support group issues, as so much we are dealing with is new territory for a lot of us. That was all that I felt was missing – the chance for the attendees to raise some of the difficulties and differences to normal practice which volunteering in the teeth of a pandemic involves.”

“Yes we were successful in getting £2000 towards running live exercise classes, now the hard work begins. Thanks so much for your support , we would not have thought of doing any of this if we hadn’t attended an online meeting run by support Staffordshire, so Thankyou you both so much.”

“The best of 2020 has definitely been the brilliant partnership working that has happened, and our work with you, and all members of the SuS team, exemplifies that. Local Government can be a tricky beast to work with, but I definitely feel like we have come out of a difficult year in a much better place and long may that continue. Please send my thanks and very best wishes to the team, especially the locality officers, who have been absolutely ace all year and to Esther for the training.”

“I just want to say that I attended your Eventbrite event today about Assistive Technologies, and have to say it was exceptional.. Esther, your presentation was fantastic, so informative, well-paced, with heaps of valuable info – and so well presented too. What a shining example of the professionalism and value that Support Staffordshire provides our residents and communities. It really was top notch.”

“Can I just say a massive thanks to everyone at Support Staffs and particularly Esther Bromley (for the reopening training) and Claire Ferris for the support, info and guidance which has been invaluable. Thanks to Rick for all the volunteers. Also the dedicated covid area of the website which has been my go to place for info and saved me so much time.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the support you have given to the organisation during this difficult time. You have been so efficient in sending us volunteer referrals but also have gone the extra mile in collating useful information regarding peoples skill sets and availability. In doing so you have streamlined the process for both our organisation and the applicant and this has helped us to introduce a great number of new volunteers over a short space of time. In fact since COVID-19 we have had 18 volunteers successfully inducted, trained and placed who have come directly to us via Support Staffordshire. Please pass on my equal thanks to our locality officer Claire who has regularly provided support and guidance, helping us to keep abreast of new developments, liaise efficiently with other organisations and share best practice to achieve the best outcomes for people in our community.”

“I’m sure I speak for many organisations in the county when I say how much we appreciate the help and support of SuS, especially at this unprecedentedly difficult time.”
Andy Collins | Borderland Voices | 29 June 2010
“I would like to add here that the support we have had from Support Staffordshire, in particular since COVID-19, has really be outstanding and when speaking comparably with other scheme managers Nationally it has become apparent that many schemes have not had access to such valuable strategic support so thank you!”
Caroline Bruno, Live at Home Scheme Manager | MHA | 28 May 2020
“Can I just say that SuS’s work over this period has been absolutely first-rate and exemplary? Claire has responded to every query raised at our local teleconferences in a timely and constructive way. Your work – all of you – has been the brightest beacon in all of this and I thank each and every one of you.”
Cllr Susan Woodward | Leader of Burntwood Town Council | 11 May 2020
“Support Staffordshire is doing such a wonderful job through these difficult times. I want to say keep up the excellent work...but also appreciate that it is difficult to sustain things as staff get physically tired and mentally weary so hopefully everyone is looking after their own and family needs too - and that the demands may not be quite as great now as a more 'normal rhythm' to the response has come into play. Thank you for all you are doing.”
Helen Titterton | Places of Welcome | 7 May 2020
“Throughout the process of applying to be a charity, from early discussions about taking this route to the Charity Number arriving in our inbox, Support Staffordshire have been there. Whilst not an especially onerous process it was so reassuring to have the experts ‘on hand’ to explain the terminology and to have the confidence that they understood what the Charity Commission were looking for. Even though we now have the Charity Number in place Support Staffordshire continue to have an interest and will be supporting our Trustees in understanding their roles as we progress and develop further. I am so grateful that we have Support Staffordshire on board and am confident that the support and reassurance they provided made the application process much more bearable.”
